Choose Designs You Love
Choose a designer whose work you love and who you can really your trust to design the right pieces for you too. As designers, we want nothing more than to be given some creative freedom to design beautiful pieces for your wedding. Knowing we have our client’s trust really lets our creative juices flow to achieve our highest potential. www.christiegraham.ca
Know Your Budget and Communicate
Know your budget and communicate it clearly from the start. Some wedding florists have minimum spends for their weddings. This ensures their costs are covered so that they can focus on no more than 1-2 weddings per weekend. We followed this business model for a few years, but this year have also added an A La Carte option to accommodate our more budget conscious couples.
Sign a Contract
Make sure you always sign a contract. Ensure the contract makes sense to you and clearly outlines delivery times, flower substitutions and all other expectations between parties.
Request a Consultation
Set up a consultation over the phone or in person. This is a very important step. This will create a connection with your chosen designer where you can really articulate your vision and wants. They can also share some ideas that you may not have thought of.
Look at the Whole Picture
When you pick a floral designer, try to consider the bigger picture. Choosing the lowest cost floral designer often means cutting corners on things that result in lower quality arrangments. There are many moving pieces that allow us to do what we love to service you and your entire community.
Maintaining a low carbon footprint and keeping it local means ordering seeds, planting crops, harvesting flowers and compensating for weather extremes with the utmost conscious care.Kristen Moore
It also entails subsidising the cost of high-quality flowers, vases, ribbon, hard goods, and the right growing space. And the right designer will be there every step of the way from the first email all the way through to consultations, design, assembly, delivery, set up as well as clean up to make sure we make it as easy on you as possible.
In the end, finding the right floral designer can feel like a challenge, especially with a whole wedding to plan. But if done right, your flowers will breathe beauty into your special day in a way that makes it well worth the effort.
